Baby Owl

Spring is here, and the baby owls are back. This little guy, an eastern screech owl (Megascops asio), landed in a bush outside our front window. Apparently, this is part of the natural process where the young birds leave the nest to test their wings. Hopefully the mom can find him there. We will be keeping the cats in for the next few days and keeping our eyes out for other owlets.
