Kaboom

We had our first break. I knew this would happen sooner or later. I was just hoping for later. Evan broke his humerus this Monday - the long bone in his upper left arm. The good news is that it is a spiral fracture and these typically heal well and relatively quickly.

We think he either fell off his playhouse or likely jumped. His favorite movie is Bee Movie and favorite part in the movie is when the 'pollen jocks' take off and go flying. Will, Lily and Evan love that part and like to fly around like bees.
When I asked him what happened he said 'Nee-oww' with his arms out, then said 'Kaboom!'
This morning we were watching the Today show and a story came on about a base jumper who survived an accident. They were showing clips of his jumps of mountains and of the crash. Lily ran up to the TV and said 'Evan! Evan! Go Evan Go!' each time they showed the jump.

Poor Evan, too bad he isn't here with me. We could cuddle, read books and eat popsicles, and comfort one another.Hope he is able to eat, and sleep. Hope mom and dad are able to as well. I think it's great that they are able to communicate as well as they do, so you could piece the story of how he injured his arm. Hugs and kisses to all!

I heard about this today... poor little dude. Has he always been the dare-devil of the trio? I hope he feels better before his second birthday!

Ouch - Poor Evan I hope his fracture heals quickly.

We have base jumpers in training here too. Lots of bruises and cuts /scrapes too -split foreheads but touch wood no broken arms yet.

Very cute about Lily too.

Oh my gosh!! I am so sorry to hear about poor little Evan. I hope everyone is dealing with it ok. I managed to survive 12 years with my oldest with nothing more than stitches. I hope I am as lucky with the trio.
I hope he heals quickly and that there are no more accidents. I am so glad to hear that it isn't something that will require surgery.

Wow, we've got climbers here, but I think I under estimate the effects of adding boys to the mix... still not flying attempts or the like. Hope the little dare-devil heals quickly!!
