We ran the Taco Shack 5k today with the kids and both beat our personal goal times.
David's race time: 25 min 42 sec (pace 8 min 17 sec per mile)
Jennifer's race time: 32 min 9 sec (10 min 22 sec per mile)
And GG got a medal for winning her division women 60 to 69!
We were rewarded with delicious Taco Shack tacos and decadent Hey, Cupcake cupcakes at the after party. We hope ya'll will join us next year.

looks so fun! noone wanted to get up earlier than usual here (esp. hubbie who went to spoon the night before). but if I had known there would be cupcakes...

thanks guys, and YES! if I can do this anyone can. I was not in my best shape after all my bedrest with the trips and getting pregnant again when they were only 7 months old. but i really liked the couch potato to 5k plan. i just took it slow and kept it enjoyable and it didn't take much time to build up my running.
that said, walking is great too, and free :)
